Description
Basics of coding helps prepare kids for one of our Python classes by teaching fundamental concepts with a series of games and activities, before implementing these concepts in their own game. The course consists of 8 weeks of activities and games and 8 weeks of coding their own game with block coding, allowing each child to spend more time learning fundamental coding concepts than in one of our Python courses. <br> <br> Activities will focus on teaching: <br> <ul> <li>Cartesian grid <li>If statements <li>Collions <li>Variables <li>Loops <li>Classes, objects, sprites <li>General Sytax </ul> <br> Afterward, students will use block coding to code their own game
